This is the second and final article regarding trends spotted at New York Toy Fair. (You can read Part 1 by clicking HERE.) In this article I’m going to talk about continuing trends that we saw in 2011 and before.
CONTINUING TREND: Cooperative Games
Peaceable Kingdom’s booth grew this year and includes many more of their signature “cooperative play” games. I recently reviewed one of their new titles, Feed the Woozle, but their booth was packed with new games like Peggy Brown’s Snug as a Bug in a Rug. A surprising entry …

I can’t believe it’s been a week since New York Toy Fair which means that despite the fact that I’m drowning in follow-up work and business cards from this year, the count down to Toy Fair 2013 has already begun.

Peaceable Kingdom Press had a whole line of new co-operative games including one called Hoot Owl Hoot, which I can’t wait to try out! Ravensburger introduced one new co-operative game called Whoowasit? Whoowasit? is a Clue-like cooperative game that’s currently a best-selling game in …

I know that most sites have already put their Toy Fair wrap up article out but given that I was sick I’m putting mine out a little late, just because I want to add my 2 cents. Feel free to leave a comment and add yours too! Because I have a lot to share this is going to be a multi-part article.
Trend: Technology, in multiple forms
The biggest trend I saw at Toy Fair (not too much of a surprise) was technology. Hasbro increased the amount of technology in many of …
